Best Western Beach Resort Monterey

Overall, this was an excellent hotel. Only 2 things were the very small bathrooms and parking was very limited.

This hotel was in a nice location and the room was accommodating as well. The limited parking accompanied by a gate key to get in and out was a hassle. The key worked 20% of the time so I got stuck in and out of the gate. If you are considering eating at the restaurant do not go there. It was more than I expected by far the only thing I did not like was the lack of privacy the bathroom door gave as it was a shared room.

Hotel is nice, nicely appointed room, good food and fast room service. Parking is limited.

This is not the "Ritz" but it is a nice location, on the beach (spectacular views), just a short drive to downtown Monterey. The rooms are comfortable and clean, but not very spacious.

The shower drain did not work, they sent me a notice a week before we left saying they had to accelerate the construction schedule. It was too late to make other arrangements. There was crime scene tape and red temp fences obstructing the view. ...read more

Amazing view from lobby bar, a great place to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. The rooms are nice and modern. The pool was a little too cold and that kept the hot tub full of kids.

I am always so very impressed with the cleanliness of Best Western Hotels, please thank your cleaning staff, best of all I couldn't smell any strong cleaning agents at this Best Western. However, the chairs in your lobby had a terrible chemical smell to them, unfortunately we had one in our room! At checkout time, the clerk wasn't too friendly and didn't ring our bill up to our satisfaction. Our key cards didn't work and it would be nice if microwaves were in the rooms!
